Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Visa and permit fees for Lesotho are set by regulation — the Aliens Control (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations, 2018 — and are payable to the Department of Immigration. Diplomatic, official/service, UN and laissez-passer holders are generally exempt from visa fees.

The Lesotho Embassy (USA) has published visitor-visa fees for regular passports of M1,000 for a single-entry visa and M2,000 for a multiple-entry visa. Because fee schedules can change and are not always mirrored on the Ministry site, the current amount for any visa or permit should be confirmed directly with the Department of Immigration before applying.

What we can confirm

  • Fees are governed by the Aliens Control (Amendment of Schedule) Regulations, 2018
  • Embassy-published visitor visa fees: M1,000 single entry, M2,000 multiple entry (regular passports)
  • Diplomatic, official/service, UN and laissez-passer holders exempt
  • Confirm current permit fees with the Department of Immigration
