Documents You Need for a Laos Visa

The core documents required for the eVisa, visa on arrival and sponsored visas.

For the eVisa you need an ordinary passport valid more than 180 days from arrival, a recent ICAO-standard photo (4x6 cm taken within six months), and a scan of your passport bio-data page including the machine-readable zone, plus an accepted online payment method.

For a visa on arrival you need a passport valid at least six months with a blank visa page, a completed and signed application form (available at the entry point), passport photos and the fee. Sponsored visas (work, investor, study, family) additionally require sponsor documents such as an employer request letter, work-permit or investment approvals, enterprise registration or a letter of enrolment.
