Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

GCC citizens (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman) may enter Kuwait without a visa using their national ID or passport. Nationals of a defined list of eligible countries can apply for a tourist e-visa online.

Residents of other GCC states who have held a valid residence permit for at least six months may be granted a visa on arrival regardless of nationality. However, some nationalities are excluded from the e-visa and visa-on-arrival routes and must apply through a Kuwaiti embassy or consulate.

Eligibility for work, study and family routes depends on sponsorship — by an employer, an educational institution, or a family member already resident in Kuwait.
