Who it is for

  • Tourists or people visiting family and friends
  • Business visitors
  • Guardians of a student or work visa holder
  • Dependent children of a Kiribati citizen, resident, work or student visa holder
  • People visiting for a limited purpose or event

Requirements

  • Completed Visitor Visa application form
  • Two passport-size colour photographs (less than six months old)
  • Passport or travel document
  • Evidence of financial support (own funds in your name, or a completed Sponsorship Form for Temporary Entry)
  • Medical certificate(s) if required
  • Police certificate(s) if required (generally where you plan to stay 24 months or longer)
  • Evidence of the purpose of the visit (e.g. business letter, evidence of the event, or genuine tourism/family visit)

What you can do

  • Enter and stay in Kiribati for the approved visitor purpose and period
  • Bring a partner and dependent children on the same application
  • Cannot use it to take up ongoing employment (a Work Visa is required for that)

How to apply

  • Download and complete the Visitor Visa application form
  • Attach photographs, passport copy, financial evidence and any required certificates
  • Pay the applicable fee (contact the Visa Officer for payment details)
  • Submit to the Immigration Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration
