Entry Rules and Visa Exemptions
Passport validity, proof of funds, stay limits and how visa exemptions work at the border.
Important
To enter Kiribati your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival, and you must be able to show sufficient funds for your stay. The MFA states that a visitor's stay should not exceed 90 days in any 12-month period.
Nationals of countries on Kiribati's Exemption Order can enter without a visa for short visits, while other nationalities must hold a visa. Entry and stay are governed by the Immigration Act 2019 and the Immigration Regulations/Procedure 2020, and the current list of exempt countries is set out in the government's Exemption Order.
