Who it is for

  • Foreign nationals undertaking an internship with an Indian company, institution or organisation
  • Note: internships forming part of an Indian study programme's prescribed curriculum do not need a separate Intern Visa

Requirements

  • A confirmed internship offer from the host organisation in India
  • An undertaking from the host that it will ensure the intern leaves on completion
  • Departure from India before the visa expires
  • Completion of FRRO/FRO registration formalities after arrival

  • Undertake the internship with the sponsoring organisation for the approved period

How to apply

  • Apply through the Indian Mission/Post abroad with the internship offer and host undertaking
  • Register with the jurisdictional FRRO/FRO after arrival as required
