Fiji Visa Eligibility

Whether you need a Fiji visa depends on your nationality and the purpose and length of your stay.

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Eligibility for entry to Fiji depends first on nationality. Citizens of visa-exempt countries can be granted a visitor permit on arrival for stays of up to four months, while citizens of non-exempt countries must obtain a visa before travelling.

Purpose and length of stay then determine which authority is required. Tourism and family visits fall under visitor permits and visas; employment requires a work permit; study requires a student permit; investment requires an investor permit backed by a Foreign Investment Certificate; and living permanently is achieved through residence permits leading to permanent residence and citizenship.
