Who it is for
- Federal Skilled Worker Program: skilled workers selected on education, experience, language and other factors
- Canadian Experience Class: skilled workers with qualifying Canadian work experience
- Federal Skilled Trades Program: qualified workers in eligible skilled trades
Requirements
- Federal Skilled Worker: at least one year of continuous skilled work experience (or 1,560 hours)
- Canadian Experience Class: at least one year of skilled Canadian work experience in the past three years (or 1,560 hours)
- Federal Skilled Trades: at least two years of skilled-trade work experience in the past five years (or 3,120 hours) and usually a job offer or certificate of qualification
- Meet the language, education and settlement-fund requirements for your program
What you can do
- Enter the pool and be ranked by CRS score
- Receive an invitation to apply (ITA) in general or category-based rounds
- Apply for permanent residence for you and your family after an ITA
How to apply
- Check which program you're eligible for and get language test results and an educational credential assessment if needed
- Create and submit an Express Entry profile to enter the pool
- If invited, submit a complete permanent residence application within the deadline
