Requirements

  • Proof of retirement or of a death-pension benefit
  • Evidence of ability to transfer at least US$2,000 per month to Brazil
  • Valid passport and consular documentation
  • Other regular income may be used to complement the required amount

What you can do

  • Reside in Brazil on the basis of the transferred retirement/pension income
  • Register with the Federal Police and obtain a migration registry card (CRNM)

How to apply

Submit the application with proof of retirement/pension and income transfer to the competent Brazilian consulate, then register with the Federal Police within 90 days of arriving in Brazil.
