Brazil offers an Electronic Visitor Visa (e-Visa) applied for online, without a consulate visit. This page explains it in plain language, drawing on the official Ministério das Relações Exteriores guidance; always use the official channels and confirm the requirements for your nationality.

Applying online

According to the Ministério das Relações Exteriores, the e-Visa is applied for online without a consulate visit, for the same short-stay visitor purposes as the Visitor Visa (VIVIS).

Who it applies to

The Ministério das Relações Exteriores states that, since 10 April 2025, nationals of Australia, Canada and the United States require a visitor visa and apply for an e-Visa online. Confirm whether it applies to your nationality on the official website.

Validity and entries

The Ministério das Relações Exteriores states the e-Visa allows stays of up to 90 days, is valid for up to 5 years and permits multiple entries. Confirm the current conditions on the official website before you travel.
