Who it is for
- Skilled workers who have an eligible employer willing to sponsor and nominate them
- Workers filling a position an approved sponsor cannot fill with an Australian worker
- Family members of subclass 457/482 holders can apply as subsequent entrants
Requirements
- Be nominated by an approved sponsor for an eligible occupation
- Meet the skills, qualifications and work-experience requirements for the nominated stream
- Meet minimum English language proficiency unless an exemption applies
- Meet health, character and health-insurance requirements
What you can do
- Live and work in Australia for the sponsoring employer in the nominated occupation
- Bring eligible family members
- Travel to and from Australia while the visa is valid
