Requirements
- Proof of the family relationship (marriage or birth documents), duly legalised
- The sponsor's qualifying visa or residence status, or Vietnamese citizenship
- A valid passport for each dependant
- Sponsorship processed through the Immigration Department
What you can do
- Reside in Vietnam alongside the sponsoring family member
- Convert to a Temporary Residence Card where the stay qualifies
- Change to another visa category (for example an LD labour visa) if the dependant later takes up work with the required permit
How to apply
- Sponsor confirms their qualifying visa / residence status or Vietnamese citizenship
- Gather legalised relationship documents
- Apply for the TT visa through the Immigration Department
- Apply for a Temporary Residence Card where the stay period qualifies
