What exactly is a holiday visa to the USA?
A Holiday visa to the USA, or more commonly known as ‘an ESTA visa’, is an “Electronic System for Travel Authorization’”. An ESTA is a visa-free travel authorisation that allows you to travel to the United States of America by plane or boat. Getting an ESTA is easier, faster, and cheaper than getting a US visa.
In 1986, the US government established the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). This is a collaboration between the US and 39 key allies. They include the United Kingdom, Ireland, and a plethora of other European countries. Citizens of these nations do not need a visa to visit the United States. However, starting of January 12, 2009, they must have a valid ESTA.
The application is made online, and if approved, the travel authorization is electronically linked to your passport, so you do not need to print any documents.
You may visit the USA for up to 90 days at a time for up to 2 years or until your passport expires, whichever is first.

ESTA Holiday Visa Requirements

Holiday Visa Validity
An ESTA is valid for two years from the time it is granted. You may visit America an unlimited number of times throughout the validity period. Each stay in the United States is limited to 90 days. What Activities Are Permitted on a USA Holiday Visa?
