Requirements

You need a pre-arranged transit visa if you are not eligible for a visa on arrival or visa-free entry and you intend to leave the airport during your stopover.

The visa must be processed and approved before you enter the UAE. It is sponsored only by UAE-based airlines.

Frequently asked questions

  • No. Both the 48-hour and 96-hour transit visas are single-entry and cannot be extended. You must leave the UAE before the visa expires.
