Requirements

  • Aged 50 or over at the date of application
  • No criminal record in Thailand or the country of nationality/residence
  • Free of the prohibited diseases listed in Ministerial Regulation No. 14 B.E. 2535
  • Financial evidence: bank deposit and/or income as specified in official guidance
  • Passport valid for the required period and completed application

What you can do

  • Stay in Thailand for up to one year per entry
  • Apply for one-year extensions of stay if you continue to qualify
  • Live in Thailand without working

How to apply

  • Apply at a Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate or via the Thailand e-Visa system
  • Provide financial, medical and police-clearance documents as required
  • Report to Immigration at 90-day intervals during your stay
  • Apply for extensions at the Immigration Bureau
