Requirements
- Passport valid for at least 6 months with two blank pages
- Completed application form and recent photographs
- Marriage certificate or equivalent for dependants; birth certificate for children
- Copy of the Thai spouse's house registration where applicable
- Bank statements evidencing funds (official guidance cites around 30,000 THB)
What you can do
- Live in Thailand with your Thai or visa-holding family member
- Apply to extend the stay to one year at the Immigration Bureau
- Apply separately for a work permit if you intend to work (the O visa alone does not authorise work)
How to apply
- Apply at a Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate or via the Thailand e-Visa system
- Enter Thailand within 90 days of issue
- Apply for the one-year extension of stay at the Immigration Bureau
- Report your address every 90 days
