Requirements
- Original and copy of passport, travel/identity document, or official document from the country of origin showing name, nationality, date of birth and photo
- For spouses/concubines: a signed statement by the applicant and their spouse/partner giving the marital domicile, plus proof of the relationship (e.g. marriage certificate or proof of concubinage under civil law)
- Payment of the application/regularisation fee (by bank card at the INM; no cash)

- Obtain legal residence from inside Mexico without leaving to apply for a visa
- Receive a temporary resident card (up to four years) or permanent resident card depending on the link
- Continue living in Mexico with regular status
How to apply
- Gather proof of identity and of the family link
- Submit the regularisation request at the INM inside Mexico and pay the fee by bank card
- Collect the resident card once approved
