Who it is for
- Dependants of a Kenyan citizen
- Dependants of a valid work/investor permit holder or permanent resident
- Dependants of an exempted person
- Typically a legally married spouse, biological or adopted children, or a financially dependent parent
Requirements
- Completed Form 28 with a cover letter to the Director General
- Valid passport/ID copies for both the applicant and the dependant
- Current immigration status documentation for both parties
- Two colour passport-sized photos of the dependant
- Proof of the relationship between applicant and dependant
- Evidence of sufficient income to support both parties
- Sworn affidavit showing the dependant's inability to support themselves
- Valid work permit with at least 6 months' validity (where applicable)
- Documentary proof of the dependency reason (e.g. medical condition, disability, age)
How to apply
- Apply online on the eFNS portal at fns.immigration.go.ke and upload all documents
- Pay the applicable fee
- Print the issued pass from eFNS and present it for endorsement
