  • Promoters or owners holding majority stakes/shareholdings in an Indian company
  • Those attending business meetings, buying/selling goods, or providing business/technical support

Requirements

  • A genuine business purpose and supporting documentation (e.g. invitation, company details)
  • Not to be used for employment or money-making/immigration into India
  • FRRO/FRO registration where the stay threshold (over 180 days) is crossed

What you can do

  • Attend business meetings and conduct permitted business activities
  • Make multiple visits within the visa validity subject to the per-visit stay limit
  • Extend the visa in India up to the five-year maximum where eligible

How to apply

  • Apply through the Indian Mission/Post abroad with business supporting documents
  • On grant of a fresh Business Visa, surrender any earlier India Business Card and collect the new one
  • Register with the FRRO/FRO if the stay threshold is exceeded
